Yesterday was the official start day of my training and eating healthier.
It started off well with a nice sleep in with the beau and successful morning shakes.
Puttering around catching up on laundry and all the fun stuff in life left me drained. I had a headache and felt off. The only culprit I can blames caffeine, I always have one cup of coffee a day so not having on yesterday morning was killer. By 5pm I had to try a run, we downloaded this app which sets you up on a route around your area and we were set to do 5km. We started to run and by 0.5km My head was pounding! I pushed to try and finish but at 3km I couldn’t take it anymore so we headed back home.
I would strongly suggest to anyone who is looking at changing their diet AND training plan is to start the meal plan a week before. Training when your body is in detox is hell!
Today is a rest day but I’m back and at it tomorrow.
here’s hoping for a more successful Run.
I am throughly enjoying sitting here writing this post on my phone. I sat down to do some choreography just in time for our reliable internet (through Telus) not to work….for the 3rd time in an hour.
Does anyone else have this issue with them??
Sorry for the mild rant…
Today was pretty uneventful. I did a bit of packing this morning. Most of our life is in boxes at the moment. We have so much stuff!
I felt like having a little spontaneity this morning. I had oatmeal with honey instead of my usual two ingredient pancake. *gasp*
I know right! Im living on the edge!
I also paired this with a coffee and some Girls Aloud.
Most of us drink coffee, tea, and or pop at least once a day, most likely more.
For those of us who drink more than one cup of a caffeine beverage (especially coffee) it’s important to cut back. There are lots of tea’s that are actually good for us and pop should be cut completely so I’ll just keep this post mostly about coffee.
decrease or eliminate sugar from tea and/or coffee
so many of our foods contain added sugars and we always seem to add even more because we are so used to the taste. (I’ve got the biggest sweet tooth).
I’m not sure about you but I cannot cut sugar out completely….I may actually die with out chocolate and

I am extremely passionate about fitness and health & wellness.
I’m a dance teacher (among many diff. jobs) and have my BCRPA certification in group fitness. Over these past few years I have been reading more and more about safe training for different types of fitness and nutrition. The more I read the more I saw ad’s and claims such as “flat abs in 6 days no exercise required” or “shed fat by cutting carbs”. A bit of schooling and common sense had me question these claims. Is this true? Can this happen? How? This cannot be possible!
The more I read the more I believe there is a simple solution to looking and feeling your best……
CONSISTENTLY Eat Clean and Exercise.
So simple we overlook it.
No one EVER should cut out any food group. Eat the amount of calories you need to maintain or achieve your goals and exercise everyday.
Now I’m sure your thinking ya right whatever who has time for that?
I bet you that with a little time management (which ill give you pointers) you can eat clean (and taste yummy) and exercise everyday, even with kids!
So I challenge you to follow and join me in my journey to become healthier and build a lifestyle that works!
I will post exercises for both the gym goers and the stay at homers. Ill give you tips for time management so you can maintain. I will also post some yummy clean recipes for you to try.
So stay tuned as I will post as often as possible. I will post about the challenges and triumphs just to keep it interesting.
